Around Christmas, the online world turns into a glittering bazaar—and unfortunately, a few grinches set up shop too. Fake websites pop up offering too-good-to-be-true deals, designed to lure hurried shoppers into handing over credit card details. Information-skimming malware hides behind dodgy checkout pages, while scammers send bogus “delivery” texts and emails that lead to phishing sites rather than parcels. In the festive rush, it’s dangerously easy to click first and think later—so a quick pause and a sceptical eyebrow can save both your money and your holiday cheer.
